Strawberry You Pick Update

We know how eager everyone is to pick strawberries and we also know why – fresh picked strawberries just taste better! Our strawberries were looking like they would be ripe early and a few of them have been early, but we also had some cooler weather and they have now decided to ripen at their own pace. It brings new meaning to us for the phrase, “supply and demand”!

We are in the process of picking strawberries for our CSA members, who receive strawberries as part of their pre-paid share if they pick up at the farm, and will open the fields once we have made sure all our members have their berries. This takes a little longer when the berries ripen at the rate of 4-8 quarts every 2-3 days. With the current warm temperatures and a fair amount of rain, we hope to have the You Pick open around the 11th of May. We encourage you to keep checking with us via our Facebook page, phone or this blog. We are truly appreciative of your support of our farm and look forward to seeing you here in the next few weeks!

    Are your berries organic?

They are not certified organic, but they are grown naturally with no herbicides or pesticides. Delicious to eat right out of the field!
