Giving Thanks

We are so thankful to all of you who visited us this past year and either bought a share in our CSA, purchased bulk tomatoes or pickles for canning, purchased produce from us at a Farmers’ Market, picked your own sweet corn, navigated our Corn Maze or picked a pumpkin.  There were so many farmtastic moments this year and we are so grateful for all of these special moments along with all your positive words of encouragement, your smiles, your looks of exhaustion (the challenging maze of course!)  and your delight in receiving a package of Smarties!

Thank you to everyone for a truly blessed 2012.  We would like to give special thanks to a few of you who brightened our long days with your positive attitudes and giving personalities:

Bruce Southall – for giving us a bird’s eye view of the United States of America!!! We couldn’t promote our maze without you!

The Charlottesville Ballet for posing in our Corn Maze and flower garden for your calendar (in the rain!)

The UVA a capella group serenading us at a Night Maze – you were truly exceptional!

The Twyman Family – Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Charlottesville Press – for making sure we were ready for opening weekend with our aerial shot and our map!

The Beverlin Family for their hugs and photogenic smiles – they will keep us going all winter long!

The Somerset Center Store for absolutely everything! You are truly the best!!!!!

Our Facebook Fans for your comments, photos and enthusiasm – your sharing of our aerial photo doubled our attendance from last year!

Our CSA members for your recipes, tips and appreciation of fresh and local.

The Brede Bunch and Edelmans for providing us “lunch” on our busiest days!

The special education classes from Jack Jouett Middle School and Greer Elementary – we love your enthusiasm and joy for life! Your thank you notes will always be treasured!

Chris Pitrof and Bob Schinschke – our friends from Wisconsin who drove all the way to Virginia to work two of our busiest weekends – we are truly blessed to have them share their time and talents with us and with all of you.

Greenock Bakery – for turning our pumpkins into delicious cupcakes, bread and muffins that fed our hungry mazers!

Nancy, James, Elizabeth, Sierra, Dakota, Bobby and Sean – we are most grateful for your work ethic and commitment to making sure everyone had a safe, farmtastic time. Thank you for choosing to work for Liberty Mills Farm – we miss you!

We are most grateful to God for allowing your paths to cross ours this year.

May the Road Rise up to Meet You and May the Wind be Always at Your Back.

With sincerest gratitude,

Kent, Evie, David and Shannon Woods
