A-Maize-ing 5K Race this Saturday

Everyone loves a maze! This Saturday maze lovers and adventuresome runners will have the chance to combine their passions at Liberty Mills Farm’s

A-Maize-ing 5K Race in Somerset. View Newsplex coverage of the event here!

Virginia’s Largest Corn Maze (25 acres of fun to explore) doesn’t officially open until September 14th, so this is a great chance to get a preview of the 2013 hot air balloon/Virginia college theme while benefitting UVA Children’s Hospital’s Heart Family Fund and the American Heart Association. Racers will complete their 5K race inside the corn maze with lots of turns and twists to navigate. No need to worry….the course will be marked with arrows to show the way.

The Children’s Heart Family Fund was established to help meet the financial needs of families with children at the UVA Children’s Hospital Heart Center. The fund provides much needed food vouchers, gas cards and lodging for families traveling from across Virginia to hospital and clinic appointments.

Interested racers can find out more information and register online by visiting the A-Maize-ing Race Site. Pre-registration is $25/racer. Day of registration is $30. A-Maize-ing Race registrants receive an A-Maize-ing Race T-shirt and 2013 Maze Ticket.

The A-Maize-ing Race is sponsored by Liberty Mills Farm, Ragged Mountain Running Shop, Watermark Design, Charlottesville Press and Relay Foods.
