2020 Strawberry Picking!

We are finally starting to have more ripe strawberries than the two of us can pick, so we will be taking appointments for:

Saturday, May 23, 8 am – 12:30 pm

Monday, May 25, 8 am – 12:30 pm

Before scheduling an appointment, it is important that you read and agree with our 2020 picking policies:

2020 Strawberry You-Pick Policies

Policies are per the recommendations of Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and are intended for the safety of our customers, employees and our community.

  •   If you are not feeling well, have a fever, are sneezing or coughing, or have any

health issues, please stay home until your symptoms have passed.

  •   Check our Facebook page or website for weather updates and picking days/hours.

A maximum of 4 people per reservation (if you have more people, simply make an

additional reservation). The minimum amount sold from the you-pick field is a $20

4-quart box which holds approximately 6-6.5 lbs. A reservation does not guarantee

strawberries, as there are too many variables involved. We promise to do our best.

  •   Masks are recommended, but are not required. Check-in at the white tent

near the Market prior to entering the fields. Picking groups (including children) are

1-4 people. You may also order pre-picked berries, $6.50 per quart, and pick them up at the Farm Market

while supply lasts – order through the Facebook shop or via Facebook Messenger.

  • Our activity area will be closed and picnic tables will not be available for use. You may,

however, bring a blanket and picnic under the trees and away from the Market area.

Hiking our trails will also be permitted. Appropriate attire required.

  •   Restrooms are not available on the property.
  •   Follow all instructions on our signage and given by our staff members.
  •   A you-pick 4-quart containers will be charged at $20 up to 6.5 lbs. If your box weighs

over 6.5 lbs, all picked strawberries will be charged at $3.10/lb.

  •   Your group will be assigned a row and must stay in that row the entire time. If all

available rows have been assigned, we will not allow anyone else to pick

        until others leave the field.

  •   Strict social distancing of 6 feet or more must be maintained at all times with different

picking groups.  All pickers must sanitize their hands before picking.

  •   No strawberries should be eaten in the field. Any fruit that is touched must

go into your picking container. Please wash all strawberries at home prior to

        consuming them.

  •   Parents are responsible for their children at all times and children must be kept

within arms length while in the patch.

  •   Pets, bare feet, smoking and alcohol are not allowed on the farm at any time.
  •   We reserve the right to close the fields for picking at any time, due to weather

conditions, lack of ripe fruit, non-compliance of our policies, or any other

         unforeseen reason.

  •   Groups not following the rules will be asked to leave the farm.

Thank you for your patience and for your support! We will also have our homemade fudge and tractor-churned ice cream available for purchase when you check-out!
